DMGrid is an offline 5E campaign manager for in-person Dungeon Masters: prepare, run, and remember the campaign in one connected place. Here is how that focus differs from other established tools.
DMGrid Beta
One connected 5E campaign, offline on Windows: campaign archive, world map and locations, characters, tactical board, initiative and hit points, and session notes. No account, no subscription; campaigns stored locally.
Its limit: player-facing second display and fog of war are planned, not shipped. Online multiplayer is outside the current roadmap.
DMGrid vs MITHOSSystem-agnostic modular toolkit
MITHOS is a system-agnostic, modular toolkit that works offline: a one-time purchase with local storage, player-facing screens, and a configurable sheet builder for many game systems on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
DMGrid fit: a focused 5E workflow where campaign, maps, characters, board, initiative, and notes stay connected in one place.
Current limitation: DMGrid is in Windows beta, and its own player display is still on the roadmap.

DMGrid fit: a local 5E campaign-to-combat flow without hosting a player server.
Current limitation: DMGrid does not match Foundry’s online multiplayer or module extensibility.
